Maria leads Fannie Mae’s Sustainable Communities Partnerships and Innovation Initiative, an enterprise effort grounded in the understanding that the shortage of affordable housing is a challenge with many dimensions. To meet this challenge, Fannie Mae will partner with entities, both in housing and in sectors adjacent to housing, to find innovative ways to tackle affordable housing while also addressing related issues in the community, such as education and health care. Maria leads the team responsible for cultivating partnership opportunities and executing projects that advance the development of sustainable communities. Maria has been with Fannie Mae since 2010.
