Walter Dillard is a Cleveland, Ohio native who currently resides in Columbus, Ohio. Walter received his undergraduate degree from Ohio University majoring in Sociology-Criminology and minoring in African American studies. He later received his master’s degree from Tiffin University in Criminology focusing on Criminal Analysis. Walter now serves as the Deputy Director of Strategic Initiatives for Franklin County. One of the Initiatives he oversees is the Franklin County Family Stabilization Unit. This unit helps provide wrap around services and resources utilizing a multi-generational approach for families that have justice involved youth. This unit has since won Franklin County’s first ever “Best In Category” award at the National Association of Counties Conference in July of 2021.
