Family Innovation & Capacity Lead
Washington State DCYF
Kerry Beymer (she, her) has worked with families who are furthest from opportunity in Washington State for 30 years. She has seen firsthand how economic stability is not simply solved by the old notion of “just work harder” but that the extreme stresses of poverty, trauma, discrimination, and institutional racism block the attainment of such skills. Kerry approaches her work with a growth mindset. With this mindset, she embraces challenges, persists in the face of setbacks, and finds inspiration in other peoples success.
