Director of Strategic Initiatives
Jeff Katz is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at My Friend's Place, where he leads on advancing a number of the organization's key projects, including justice, equity, diversity and inclusion work, advocacy and community partnerships. Before stepping into the role in 2020, Jeff was the Associate Director of Development at My Friend's Place, where he led on both fundraising efforts and special event production, as well as outward facing communication pieces, including PR, media and marketing materials. In addition to his six-plus years working on behalf of youth experiencing homelessness at My Friend's Place, Jeff has also raised funds and created campaigns for organizations including the L.A. LGBT Center, International Medical Corps., AIDS/LifeCycle and Ronald McDonald House Charities. He completed his undergraduate degree in Communications at UC Davis, and is a graduate of The Nonprofit Partnerships Emerging Leaders program.
