President of Programs; Berkshire Area
Gina P. Blake, was born, raised and lives in Pittsfield MA. Currently the Vice President of Programs for the Berkshire Area of 18 Degrees, she has held her LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) for 16 years. She has over 22 years of experience working with children, youth, young adults and families. She has worked across many settings such as Department of Developmental Disabilities based programs with adults, residential treatment facilities for youth, psychiatric inpatient settings, as a clinical therapist, working in the foster and adoptive processes, and with home visiting support programs. In this time becoming skilled in navigating many different systems such as the Department of Social services, the Department of Public Health the Department of Mental health and the CBHI system (Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative).
Clinically, she specializes in trauma, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, play therapy and LGBTQ+ treatment and advocacy. She has provided clinical supervision and training for staff in the areas of trauma, high risk assessment, clinical supervision, professional development, skill building, and vicarious traumatization.
Blake came to 18 Degrees in 2013 as the clinical supervisor for family programs. As Vice President she added experience in early child development, early intervention and navigated the system of Early Education and care by managing four child care sites of 155 children and over 30 staff members. Blake has worked as a supervisor of direct care staff, staff with lived experience in the fore front of their work as well as professional staff, directors and clinicians for approximately 20 years. She has been working in management and program administration for 20 years as well. She holds a bachelor of science in Psychology from Fitchburg State University, where she graduated Cum Laude, and a master of social work from Springfield College.
When she is not caring for her two daughters age 12 and 6, she is wrangling her two cats and dog or enjoying a walk or ride on the local bike trail. She recently added kayaking enthusiast to her repertoire. She is an avid reader, coffee drinker and a lover of the musicals Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton, and Rent.
