Director of Advocacy
Chelsea Sedani, MSW, is the Director of Advocacy at Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath). Chelsea has been with the agency in various roles since 2008. Prior to her time at EMPath, Chelsea worked with various nonprofits doing community organizing, research, program management and advocacy work. She has partnered with families with lived experience over the past twelve years to support them in sharing their stories for purposes of social change, fundraising, knowledge building and sharing. Chelsea holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in Criminal Justice and Family Studies. Chelsea is also a Registered Yoga Teacher where she has focused on yoga to address trauma with women who were experiencing homelessness and yoga for new mothers.
