Chief Program Officer
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Psychology, Melody briefly pursued an opportunity in the for-profit sector as a paralegal at a Corporate Law Firm in NYC. Her first role in a non-profit was as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher in United South End Settlements' (USES) ECE program. This opportunity allowed her to understand first-hand the impact of high-quality education on children's development and the challenges many families face in accessing care. Now, as Chief Program Officer at USES, Melody is responsible for articulating and implementing the organization's strategic vision and leadership in collaboration with the CEO. In this role, Melody oversees a portfolio of Two-Generational programs and services, providing guidance, supervision, and Professional Development to Program Directors and works to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of USES's service model.
